About Us

Jo Dodds started the Hythe Handbook, part time, in September 2005 whilst working in London as an HR Director. The idea was to turn it into a full time business to enable her and Simon to start a family. In August 2006 Little Doddsy was born!

Jo and Simon have since gone on to start up other businesses including a local business networking group and a business where they teach, coach and support local businesses to create and manage their own extremely search engine friendly websites.

The Hythe Handbook continues to go from strength to strength and is well read and respected in Hythe. It grows entirely by word of mouth, and most advertisers are long term as a reflection of the success that they get from the Handbook.

Over half of the Handbook is given over to the local community to promote the area, events, groups and societies, which is part of what makes it so well read and successful.
