Folkestone Town Centre Management are running a series of children’s events and Sunday afternoon concerts at the Lower Leas Park Amphitheatre and the Leas Bandstand. The not-for-profit organisation, which recently staged the successful four-day Folkestone Multi-Cultural Festival with Discover Folkestone and Hythe & Romney Marsh, is organising many summer season events at the venues on behalf of Shepway District Council.

Band concerts are being held throughout August and continue until mid- September. Entertainment at the Lower Leas Coastal Park (free) will be especially for children. Deck chairs are also available free of charge.

Town centre manager John Barber said that the FTCM partnership welcomed the opportunity to work with the district council on its public events programme.
“Festivals and events play a big part in our claim that Shepway is the place where there’s always something interesting going on. The Leas and Lower Leas Coastal Park are wonderful venues for outdoor shows and we look forward to providing visitors and residents of all ages with hours of enjoyable entertainment”.
